Description: I am founder and chairmen of a UK plc telecom company. We are expanding into asia and I plan being in the region for the next 2 years or more. I have spent the last two years living in an asian country. Four months ago I managed to upset a local gang . They made life difficult for me in that country and so I decided to move to Singapore. I assumed that whereas mafia type gangs operate with complete immunity in the first country that Singapore would be different. It was but not to the extent that I could feel comfortable setting up a new base.The gang or their affiliates followed me to Singapore and at one point I was tailed continuously by some 25 individuals not obviously but not that discreetly either. I didn’t want to set up a base while this was going on and especially didn’t want them knowing where it was, so went to Batam to let things cool down. That didn’t work they simply followed me here. I believe they see me as either very annoying or a threat or possibly even an opportunity or want revenge for my accidentally inconveniencing them in the original country. They had some kind of clandestine hidden operation on some land I bought and the bulldozers turned up early one morning to clear the scrub resulting in lots of running about as people appeared out of the under growth and dashed off carrying what they werer hiding. What it was I’ve no idea.I’d like to commision a short focused project planned over 1 or 2 days resulting in them left wondering where I dropped from view. A closed parking area and car boot would probably get it done if not too obvious- followed by dash to the airport and a short flight landing before they realise I’ve even gone.
